Our first visit there. We were visiting family in Ballwin and on the way back home we just searched our car's GPS for the nearest restaurant and the Nippon Tei came up as one of the choices. As we are fans of Asian food, it was worth trying.
We were not disappointed. Very nice atmosphere and good menu selections. Always like to explore new beers and certainly being in a Japanese restaurant a Japanese beer was in order. I tried the Hitachino Nest which is a white ale. Very good and a new one for me. For our appetizer we ordered Eel and Avocado Roll. Very good ! Then my wife had Yaki Soba and for me - Ichiban Steak. Both excellent. The steak is a flank steak in sweet and spicy sauce with shitake mushrooms. Overall, it turned out to be a great discovery for us and we definitely will visit again when in the neighborhood. Highly recommended !!!
